For the first 10 weekdays of January 2022, you will wake up at 4 a.m. After bathing, You will finish your shower with one minute of cold water, running from the crown of your head down to the body. We will then practice yoga, breathwork, and meditation from 4:30 a.m. – 5:30 a.m. EST on live Zoom calls. This practice proves that your will is stronger than the desires of the body.

You will then experience the first sun rays of the day with your eyes wide open, while expressing gratitude. Bathe in the light, either on a walk or by sitting still and absorbing the energy of the rising sun! This part of the practice will help you connect to the rhythm of the universe.

Our two week practice is the best time to wire any new habit you would like to have, right into your brain! The vertical departure challenge provides positive energy and self confidence to kick off 2022. What a great opportunity to thank 2021 for all of the beautiful lessons she gave. The Vertical Departure Challenge is a radical expression of the desire to live with meaning. Completing this intense two week journey into, and through the core of your Self will develop your character. Diamonds are formed under tremendous pressure. It’s all about not letting the body have it’s way with us, and freeing ourselves from attachment.

What You Get
  • You will get an eBook Journal in your email on January 1st, with links to videos and clear instructions for each day’s practice. You may do the practice on your own by following the eBook Journal instructions, or with the group on Zoom from January 3rd–14th.
  • Your Jan 1st email will have Zoom Links for the live classes. There will be an opening ceremony on January 2nd and a closing ceremony January 15th.
  • Your eBook will have links to evening guided meditations, breathing exercises, and yoga nidra practices. You may download or stream these practices so that you can follow them before bed. They can induce lucid dreaming, therapeutic shamanic dreams, and deep rest.
Guidelines for Participation
  • No Drugs or Alcohol are to be used during the challenge: no cannabis, no cigarettes, and no sugar.
  • If you miss one practice, you must begin at day one and keep moving again, till you complete 10 week days in a row.
  • We will meet on Zoom at 4:25am sharp, Every weekday morning from January 3rd – 14th. Practice begins at 4:30am. If you are late to practice, you will not be allowed into the meeting and miss that day. You must start again from the beginning.
How to Prepare

You will get an email every Sunday with practices for developing a spiritual life paired with healthy living tips. Experiment with the classes and videos Jai shares in his newsletter, on his podcast The Jai Sugrim Method, as well on his YouTube Channel. Focus on building strength incrementally.
